BRIDGE Fund
bridge /brɪdʒ/: A bridge gets you from one side to the other. It connects by reducing distance. It crosses obstacles.
The BRIDGE Fund supports adults and children impacted by criminal legal system involvement. The BRIDGE Fund pays for things that public defender clients need to engage in successful rehabilitation, recovery, and reentry—necessaries like clothing, tents, rides, a temporary housing solution, or diapers.
The BRIDGE Fund is a passion project of holistic public defenders in Santa Cruz County who recognize that their clients need more than just legal and social support to break harmful cycles—they need material support. Little things make a big difference for people struggling to overcome the barriers created by system involvement.
The BRIDGE Fund is a grassroots effort that relies on donations, philanthropy, and community support.
